A Father’s Legacy and A Son’s Promise
Before Roger Gore became a trailblazing CEO, he was a devoted son. His late father, George Washington Gore, was a three-time Army war veteran who served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. After decades of serving his country, George Gore worked in the community he loved as a Produce Manager for GIANT Food Landover in 1968, where he was even featured in a local newspaper article for his outstanding performance.

Decades later, in a poetic full-circle moment, Roger Gore would return to GIANT this time not as an employee, but as a vendor, placing GNatural Products on the very shelves where his father once proudly worked.

“This is more than business, it's a divine assignment,” says Roger. “To be a part of the same company that once honored my father’s hard work, and now it's my honor to be a supplier, it's a gift from God and my father.”
Roger’s journey wasn’t without sacrifice. In his father’s final years, George W. Gore Sr. battled dementia, and Roger became his full-time caregiver at the high of his company growth. True to his word, Roger kept the promise he made to his father to never place him in a nursing home. That commitment came at a cost: Roger nearly lost his entire natural hair care business called GNatural and Alpha Club 4 men while caring for his father around the clock.

“It tested every part of me, my strength, my faith, my business. But I had made a promise. And I kept it.”
That sacrifice became the soul of GNatural’s mission to create with purpose, uplift with intention, and stand firmly on the foundation of faith, love, and honor.
GNatural for Women: Redefining Natural Beauty
The GNatural line for women entered the beauty space with one mission: to meet the real needs of women with natural hair textures. Free from parabens, sulfates, and harmful additives, the line nourishes curls, coils, and textured strands while supporting scalp health and long-term growth. GNatural product became an industry standout winning the Naturally Curly Editors’ Choice Awards for four consecutive years (2016–2019). To winning the Emerging brand Award.

“We built GNatural with real women in mind,” says Roger. “Every formula reflects our belief that you shouldn’t have to choose between health and style.”

Roger didn’t stop with women’s care. His Alpha Club 4 Men Shaving and Beard Grooming Collection became an industry standout winning the Naturally Curly Editors’ Choice Awards for 2 consecutive years (2018–2019). Winning Best New Men’s Collection. From shave therapy to beard conditioning, the collection delivers high-performance grooming specifically for textured hair and sensitive skin.

More importantly, Roger made local history as the only Washington DC African American natural product brand owner to win Best New Men’s Collection and Emerging Brand in two categories, a trailblazing moment in the natural care industry.

The GIANT True Diversity Partnership: From History to Impact
GNatural’s rise was elevated by one of the brand’s most valued retail partners: GIANT Landover, serving Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.

Starting with just two products, the brand has now grown to seven SKUs available in both the multicultural and general merchandise sections, making GNatural one of the first Black-owned men’s grooming brands to break that barrier in GIANT. Having products sold in the men’s shaving category and multicultural section for women of color and families.
“GIANT has been more than a retailer; they've been a true DEI champion,” says Roger. “They give small, Black-owned brands real visibility, shelf space, and support. Their team helps us connect with customers through endcap displays, circular ads, and authentic engagement.”
From Purpose to Power
For Roger Gore, GNatural isn’t just a brand, it's a living tribute to his father’s legacy, a model of Black entrepreneurship, and a symbol of faith in action.
“We are here because of our community, our ancestors, and our commitment to serve. This journey was never about fame. It was always about family, faith, and fulfillment.”
